Keeping in line with the policy of the Government
of Bangladesh on e-governance, the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Expatriates'
Welfare and Overseas Employment have come
forward to make possible services available at
the door-steps of the Bangladesh citizens living
abroad through internet. While sitting at their
homes our expatriate workers can get access to
certain services without knocking at the door of
any office or agency in Bangladesh or abroad.
For the first time in the history of Bangladesh,
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published the
H.S.C. examination results of the expatriate
students studying in Bangladesh Schools in
Jeddah, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha and
Tripoli through internet. Our beloved expatriate
children will now view their examination results
while playing with the computer at home.
This service will be an addition to the election
commitment of the present government led by the
Hon'ble Prime Minister, Begum Khaleda Zia to
provide more facilities to our expatriate
citizens living abroad. It is my firm belief
that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the
Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas
Employment will be able to provide more services
under the e-governance system to our expatriate
citizens in the coming days.
I take this opportunity to congratulate the
successful candidates and wish them all the
success in life.
M. Morshed Khan, M.P.
